Hello everyone!
we are emailing later today because this morning, we went on a hike in sai kung.
sister coker talked about it with us so we finally decided to go with her and her non-member friend. talking about the gospel along the wayl, it was fun.
we could not go to the hike leading to beaches because of some missionary rules so we took the simple hike. we got to talk to some people who were doing (parapente) for one of them it was her birthday, she waited for so long to finally do it.
now sister coker want to do it.
we were blessed with multiple invitations to eat at the member house which is not super common here. the holmsteads on wednesday, the mos on thursday, winnie on friday, bbq activity on saturday, sister ho gave us food to bring home on sunday.
so the past week, even though once again we could not find new investigators and our investigators could not meet with us. well, at least, it was so nice that genice was able to come to saturday activity in mui wo. she really liked it and was able to get to know our members. not all of the members came though so it was different than last year. we had a lot of fun with the kids, the parents and the elders. i went on the beach to find some shells as usual
on thursday, we were invited by scott and lin to have diner to their house. they invited two non member friends to join us. we had champagne with 0% alcohol so we kind of had a farewell party hahahaha i will miss them so much. one of their guest is from shanghai working in a gallery in hong kong the other one is a guy from london but lives here for 11 years now, they used to study with scott and lin. they don't have a lot of interest in the gospel but i think they could feel that we are different, we invited them to come to church.
yesterday, it was our busiest day of the week. i went on split with a cantonese member in chai wan cantonese ward and sister shade stayed on the 6 floor with the mandarin branch. because they have church services at the same time. then we came back together because we went to help the tagalong sister with aprille mae baptism ( we helped teach every sunday afternoon). then we were back to our mandarin branch for the 3 rd hour it was combined class. oh also it was fast sunday for us. sister ho putted food for us in one of the fridge but she forgot it was fast sunday. we went on split with sister slanged and sister lee. i went to island 1 with sister lee, it was the branch conference i helped in the choir (alto!) then we went to gospel essential class afterward we taught the sister investigator sister bing, then right after my companion told to come downstair because we had some visitors. so we needed to cancel our appointment to visit zhao jm. we taught the couple lesson 1 to 4 they want to get baptised so they are going to do anything to get baptised when they go back. IT was a miracle for us as we did not except it. we had been praying to find those who are ready to accept the gospel and they were the perfect definition of those who are ready to accept the gospel. we went home around 6pm and finally broke our fast exhausted but happy.
we are looking forward for the miracles coming up this week.
