Hong Kong - Kowloon - Track 8 - Please pray for our investigators !!

Hello Family and Friends, i heard that mom is tired of translating to french, and i am sorry for that.
Desolee maman!!

This week i was blessed to witness one of the week's miracles: du jiemei's baptism,
she was super ready.

So she investigated for 2 months and accepted everything,

Before she would always refuse to get baptized in any other churches but she felt like it was right this time.

During the baptism of course we were stressed with everything but it went super well.

She shared her feelings and could not cry, lele cried because he wanted to get baptized too but he is only 3, oh!!!!

The song we performed during the baptism, we practiced only twice so it was not that good.

So last pday we went to big budda, so i have some pictures hope you will enjoy it!
in the evening with the elders we visited viviane and after the visit we ate with her two sons, david and jackson.

On thursday with our district we baked some peanut butter cookies for dude's baptism. on saturday evening, we had an activity i think its the causeway bay who organized it and they invited other wards and their investigators so we went with dudu and lele. other missionaries also brought their investigators.

Also this past week, we have three new friends that we teach, yvonne, wendy and yennis. they are about 16 to 18,they are super good. they don't have a lot of religious background but two of them used to investigate the church before. three of our investigators got a little bit antied but thanks to their faith they resisted, instead of blocking us or stop to meet with us they called us to ask us different questions but at the end of the conversation, sherry, the one who called us, said that she knows it is not true.

Sorry i don't have tones of time that' s all i can write, i love you all. great week pray for our investigators and pray so that we can find new friend this week.

Hong Kong - Kowloon - Track 7- I'm so happy!!! we were able to contribute in the zone goal...

Da jia hao!

The past week was such a great week for me, it was tiring and stressful most of the time. oh yeah so now i am the senior companion, in other words i am leading the work in our area.
these past weeks we struggled a lot with finding new investigators and during our last zone devotional, we set some pretty high zone goals. i was not really confident that our companionship will be able to help a lot in the zone goal but we worked hard.
we made some covenants with heavenly father so that he will help us, and as you can expect a lot of miracles happened.

I have a funny thing to share with you first. so two weeks ago, we met ''a golden investigator'', wang jm, i talked to her for 2 mins so not enough time to share a lot but at least i had time to ask her if she will have interest to meet with us again, i asked her twice because i kind of could not believe (i don't have a perfect faith but heavenly father work with even the smallest particle of faith) and we exchanged phone number. i contacted her and scheduled her for the week after it was all okay on the phone, she was super nice but then a few hours before the appointment she cancelled, but i kept calling her but then yesterday night i called her as i told her and it seemed like she blocked us,
i tried several times. i wanted to cry, and i was trying to think why, so i complained to heavenly father that night saying that i really want to help her, she seems sincere.
This morning i was cleaning and then the phone rang, sister grover ran to me and handed me the phone guess who it was??? wang jiemei! yes it was her asking us when we will have time to meet and she did not say anything about yesterday phone called! i wonder what happened but not to much because the most important thing is that she still have interest so we will meet with her probably tomorrow!! i' m so thankful to our heavenly father!

so this week we had zone conference on tuesday, with president lam we talked a lot about ''atonement and faith in jesus christ''. i was super emotional that day i think its because i am going through a lot of things these days, so i was spiritually overwhelm. there was a point in president lam training i felt prompted to share a personal experience i had during my mission about myself experiencing the power of the atonement and how christ atone for everyone but its something personal. i did not even start to share that i sobbed, the spirit was so strong. it was one of the most powerful testimony that i ever gave about the atonement. in other trainings i had the opportunity to share some member missionary work experiences when i invited the elders to come to my school back home and shared a message to my class or answered some questions about the church with one of my friend who finally became a member of the church and is now serving a mission. it was super cool!

So i don't have time but we were blessed through receiving referrals from members, investigators, other missionaries. sherry and kay brought leo their friend for one of our lesson and have interest in learning. judith brought a friend to church, kathy and have interest too, sister woo gave us a number she found on the mtr huang jiemei, the cantonese sisters gave us a number too huang jiemei , sister lai brought a friend kenny and his mom to english class. so many new friends, and also we succeeded to contact former investigators we met with them on saturday and want to investigate again, yennis, wendy and yvonne. and ju jiemei is getting baptized this coming sunday.

Family and friends please pray for all the people listed in my email, i love them a lot and they are part of my family, now i really want to help them to return together to our heavenly father presence and live with him eternally.

With love
Sister colombel.

Hong Kong - Kowloon - Track 6 - Chinese like to share the gospel and do the missionnary work

Hello everyone!

It was such a great week, i hope i can share all i did this past week.
I was reading my emails and i saw so many miracles and i am so glad to see that everyone is receiving so many blessings.
My mission is a real blessing too, everyday i meet so many people on the train, the streets. we have the chance to receive heavenly father's children from mainland, we spend a whole day with them, teach and baptize them and we are part of their life forever because they are so grateful for our service and sacrifice. they come down so prepared and they understand the meaning of sacrifice, they already have a small but strong testimony.
I think it is so funny there is something that i observed with the people we teach, visitors or normal investigators, right after teaching them they are already talking about ''sharing the gospel'', ''missionary work''. it comes so naturally with them!! but that is really a testimony for me that the gospel is a must in our lives, and our investigators understand it, they understand that it will bless them not only for this life but also for eternity. i think it will be this week spiritual thought.

So this week we were pretty busy.
On tuesday night we had district meeting because during the day, elder garcia had mlc with all the leaders.
On wednesday, we were blessed to help sarah's parents, a young adult in our branch. they invited us both for lunch and dinner. elder hayden/paul helped to prepare for the baptism ceremony and elder hayden baptised the mom and the dad. so for dinner we went together to ''triple o's'', the elders were so happy about it.
On thursday, instead of ''food angel'' we made some ''no bake cookies'' then a t night we had correlation meeting.
On friday, tipping phoned us as we were supposed to eat lunch together, selin was not willing to meet with us she had other things to do. in the evening, we went to vivian apartment, she is so funny, cute, she gave us different things, trying on her clothes (she only have two sons) we are like daughters for her, i love her so much. we ate dinner together. we were so full that sister grover did not feel really good.
On saturday, we ate lunch with apple and bobby, it was pizza hut! we visited dudu and lele, we ate dumplings, she wanted us to eat the whole bowl, and she had two big bowls so everyone will have one. (we visited her at 3;00 and we were still full with the lunch we had). in the evening, we had the music concert we invited 5 potential investigators and two of them were tahitian (christelle and brigitte), it was super good especially! the drums...

Ok so i don't have time but i hope you can have an idea of what happened the past week.

I love you all.

Hong Kong - Kowloon - Track 5 - Safe and Sound

Hello wonderful people!

I miss everyone but i am also happy to be in Hong Kong doing my heavenly father's work.
i 've received emails from friends and family worrying about my safety with all the typhoons...
thank you for worrying, i am doing great as you can see on the picture.

yesterday, it was fast sunday (i was super tired) we were in wan chai, we combined our church services with the wan chai branch. we've had powerful testimonies about temple and family history work, plan of salvation. i was really touched by the spirit and i cried. they were all testifying about ''eternal family''and that whatever thing happened and will happen in this life, because we have the gospel we have hope. i just thought about my own family but also the one i will build in the future.
how important it is to share with our friends and all the people around us all these knowledges we have.
actually around us, there are people searching consciously or not...

For this past week, i wish i could say we were really busy but we were not really. we spent a lot of time meeting with dudu because her baptism is coming really quickly, we will probably change her baptismal date for sept 17 something like that and also we spent time helping sherry with her homeworks...
On saturday 4pm to 6pm we had district finding in the kowloon park in tsim sha tsui, it was super humid, we met some people from china, nepal, france. we met three families, i felt the spirit so strongly when i talked to them and testifying about the gospel who blessed families and that families are eternal.
We met some nice people, we took pictures with a young women who was with her family while finding they were super nice. we found some people willing to learn more about the gospel.

I am excited for this week, after email we will go bowling in hung hom, we will have visitors on wednesday,
on saturday night we are going to a church song event with our investigators .....

I love you all, have a great week.
Sister Colombel.
