How is everyone doing?
It is getting hotter and hotter here in hong kong i think i will not like spring here it is like in tahiti when its cloudy and the air heavy and you expect the rain to pour, execpt it will never rain. i am glad we can use the ac.
We had a beautiful weekend ......... general conference.....it was my first general conference as a missionary. it was definitely different, i mean usually i am seeking for questions about my own concerns but this time it was for my family, friends back home but also my companions, missionaries around me, our investigators, members and people i randomly meet on the mtr, streets ....
as missionary we feel better because through the talks we can see that with our church leaders we are establishing and hastening heavenly father's kingdom on earth.
I will not have enough time to share what i learned during general conference but most of our leaders talked about our latter days, i am not aware of all the things that are happening throughout the world since i entered the mtc but through our leader's prayers and warnings i can tell that the world is doing worse and worse.
They talked a lot about strengthening our testimonies, having a firm foundation, the plan of salvation, the holy ghost. one principle that come to my mind right now is
" act on the first promptings'' by ronald rasband.
It is a principle i've learned a lot during my mission especially during findings, to find heavenly father's children that are ready to learn and accept the restored gospel.
I want to do something new...
I want to invite all my blog reader's this week to send me (vaimeho.colombel@myldsmail.net) for next week any experiences you've had by applying one of the teachings of our dear prophet and apostles.
Yesterday, we watched the 3rd, 4th and women sessions and at 8;00pm we had geng jam's baptism.
geng jm is from mainland china, she came to hong kong 2 weeks ago. her husband live in hong kong and recently joined the church. she recently met with elder lau and stratford but last sunday she came to church and we went home together, she fed us and we taught her.
she showed us a great desire to follow jesus christ and get baptized. last week the elders and us sometimes visited her and prepared her for baptism. we asked permission for her to get baptized after only 1 week and the leaders said it is okay. so she got baptized with only us, elder lau/stratford, her husband and our ward missionary leader attended the baptism service. it was the simplest baptism i had ever attended. she is going back to china today.
Saturday, we watched the 1st and 2nd session and could not wait to watch more.
I went on exchange twice this week, the first one on tuesday with sister san juan doing tagalog work. i attended an everyday sacrament meeting, then from 2 to 5 we had "indexing marathon" with the international district, we had a lot of fun, we helped new indexers.
i met sister cody a senior sister missionary with her husband. she is so nice!
on thursday, sister miranda came to mandarin work. so i lead the work, heavenly father really helped me, we went finding most of the time and surprisedly people i met and talked to were really nice and i was able to communicate with them eventhought they were not willing to exchange phone numbers.

Il commence a faire tres chaud ici a Hong Kong, je pense que je ne vais pas supporter le Printemps ici, c'est comme a Tahiti lorsque c'est nuageux et qu'il fait lourd et on dirait qu'il va pleuvoir. Sauf qu'ici, ca sera tous les jours ainsi sans qu'il ne pleuve.
Quel soulagement de savoir qu'on sera en mesure de mettre en marche notre clim!!!
Ah oui! Nous avons eu un superbe week end de Conference Generale.... c'etait ma premiere Conf Gen. en tant que Missionnaire.
Et je confirme, c'est quelque chose de different dans le sens ou d'habitude je cherches des reponses a mes propres besoins alors que cette fois-ci c'etait pour ma famille, mes amis(e) chez moi mais aussi pour mes compagnes, les missionnaires qui m'entourent, nos amis (e) de l'eglise, les membres mais aussi toutes personnes que je rencontre ici dans le mtr, la rue...
En tant que missionnaire, on se sent renforce parce qu'avec nos dirigeants de l'eglise nous hatons et edifions le Royaume de Dieu sur la terre.
Je n'aurai pas le temps de partager avec vous tout ce que j'ai appris durant la Conference cependant nombre de nos dirigeants ont parle des Derniers Jours. Je ne sais pas ce qu'il se passe dans le monde depuis que je suis entree au MTC, mais a travers les Prieres et les Mises en garde de nos dirigeants, je peux deviner que le Monde va en s'empirant.
Ils ont beaucoup parle de renforcer notre Temoignage, de batir notre fondation sur le Roc, le Plan du Salut, le Saint-Esprit. Un principe qui me vient a l'esprit en ce moment: "agir des le premier murmure de l'esprit" par Elder Ronald Rasband.C'est un principe que j'utilise beaucoup en mission surtout lorsque l'on doit trouver les enfants de notre Pere Celeste qui sont pres a entendre et a accepter l'evangile retablit dans leur vie.
Je voudrais innover....

Hier, nous avons regarde la 3eme et 4 eme session ainsi que celle des femmes et a 20h, le bapteme de Geng jm a eu lieu.
Alors, elle vient de Chine, elle est venue visiter H K il y a deux semaines, son mari vit a HK et a joint l'eglise recemment.
Il n'y a pas longtemps aussi, elle a rencontre Elder Lau et Elder Stratford mais dimanche dernier, elle est venue a la Chapelle et on est rentree a la maison ensemble, elle nous a fait manger et on l'a enseigne.
Elle nous a fait part d'un formidable desir de suivre JC et de se faire baptiser.
La semaine derniere, on a alterne avec les Elders les visites et la preparation pour son Bapteme.
On a demande aux Elders et on a recu l'autorisation de la baptiser qu'au bout d'une semaine de preparation.
Elle a donc ete baptisee qu' en presence de notre DMP, son mari, Elder Lau et Elder Stratford et ma compagne et moi.
Ca a ete la Ceremonie de Bapteme la plus simple a laquelle j'ai assiste dans ma vie.
Elle rentre en Chine aujourd'hui ( lundi 10 avril).
Samedi 8, on a regarde la premiere et la 2eme session de la Conference et on avait carrement hate de voir la suite.
J'ai ete deux fois en "exchange" cette semaine, la premiere fois, mardi, j'etais avec Sr San Juan faire le Travail Missionnaire en Tagalog.
J'ai donc assiste a une Reunion de Sainte Cene qui a lieu en pleine semaine (la, un mardi) et de 14h a 17h, on a eu le Marathon de l'Indexation avec le District International, c'etait trop top!!! On a aide de nouvelles personnes a se familiariser avec l'Indexation...
J'ai pu faire la connaissance du couple missionnaire Cody, Sr Cody est vraiment gentille!.
Jeudi, Sr Miranda est venue avec moi pour m'accompagner dans mon aire de Proselytisme Mandarin et c'est donc moi qui devait organiser et diriger le travail.
Pere Celeste m'a vraiment aide, on a quasiment fait que du "Finding" et etonnement les personnes qui etaient sur notre Chemin, ont toutes ete agreables et j'ai pu bien communiquer avec meme si elles n'ont pas voulu qu'on s'echange nos coordonnees.
Je vous souhaite a tous et a toutes, une tres bonne semaine et N'OUBLIEZ PAS MON ENGAGEMENT....
